An experiment I created while hungry for a light , sweet, chocolate dessert to follow my chili dinner tonight. It's a mix of angel food and chocolate pudding, baked in a casserole dish. We'll see how it turns out... it's smelling wonderfully from the oven.
Ingredients:
36 g cook and serve pudding and pie filling chocolate - reduced calorie sugar free
1 box betty crocker angel food cake mix
1/4 cup toll house mini morsels
1 1/4 cup cold water
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Stir together cake mix and pudding mix.
3. Follow cake mix instructions: Beat mix and water in bowl on low speed for 30 seconds; beat on medium speed for 1 minute. Pour into UNGREASED pan (I put parchment paper in a 2 quart casserole dish)
4. Scatter chocolate chips on top of batter and gently mix into top to cover them slightly.
5. Bake until cracks feel very dry and not sticky. Don't under bake but try not to burn the chocolate chips. About 40-45 minutes.
6. Immediately turn pan on its side on heat proof surface until cake cools. Remove from pan and eat.
