These are the BEST oatmeal cookies I've ever had. They are incredibly chocolatey, soft and chewy. They are almost as good as brownies! Betty Crocker's Best Of Baking. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup sugar |
1 cup margarine or butter, softened |
1/4 cup milk |
1 egg |
2 2/3 cups quick-cooking or old-fashioned oats |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup cocoa |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1/2 tsp. baking soda |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Mix sugar, margarine or butter, milk and eggs in a large bowl. 3. Stir in remaining ingredients. 4. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. 5. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when touched in center. 6. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet. |
