So good! I requested this recipe from my friend who always made this dessert when I came over. Ingredients:
1 tbs. ground almonds (plus additional to dust pan) |
10 1/2 oz. dark chocolate (70 % cocoa) |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
1 1/4 sticks unsalted butter |
1/8 tsp. salt |
5 large eggs |
confectioners sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Lightly spray 8 or 9 inch spring form pan with cooking spray 3. Dust it with ground almonds, shaking off excess. 4. Set aside. 5. In a double boiler set at a low simmer, melt the chocolate, butter and sugar, stirring often. 6. Remove from the heat. 7. In a medium bowl, beat the eggs and ground almonds together. 8. Fold in the egg mixture into the chocolate and stir until thickened, several minutes. 9. Pour the cake into the pan, smooth the top and bake 45 minutes, or until the top is set and begins to crack. 10. Remove the side of the pan and let the cake cool completely. Dust with confectioners sugar if desired. |
