You can make just the mousse also. Ingredients:
1 (18 ounce) box chocolate cake mix |
3 eggs (or as directed) |
1 1/4 cups water (or as directed) |
1/3 cup oil (or as directed) |
6 egg yolks |
1/4 cup sugar |
1 cup milk |
2 (11 1/2 ounce) bags chocolate chips |
1 pint heavy cream |
Directions:
1. Make cake as directed on box (let cool). 2. whip 6 egg yolks with sugar until pale and fluffy. 3. heat 1 cup of milk 4. pour chocolate chips in milk and mix well until melted 5. pour a little bit of chocolate in the yolks and mix well and add the remaining. 6. Let Cool. 7. Whip heavy cream until thick 8. Fold the whip cream in the chocolate mixture. 9. Cut cake in half and put half of the mousse in the middle and place top on and put the remaining mousse on top. 10. Place in the fridge and enjoy:). |
