Another Christmas tradition at Mom's house. Came from her vast collection of cookbooks. Fudgy brownie, creamy mint icing, and a chocolate glaze on top! Chill 1 hour after frosting, before glazing. Ingredients:

1/2 c butter, softened |
1 c sugar |
4 eggs |
1 t vanilla |
1 16 oz can chocolate syrup |
1 c. flour |
frosting |
1/2 c butter, softened |
2 c powdered sugar |
2 t milk |
1/2 t peppermint extract |
few drops green food color |
glaze |
1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips |
1 t shortening |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 2. Grease 11x15 pan 3. BROWNIES 4. Cream butter 5. Add sugar & eggs 6. Mix well 7. Stir in remaining brownie ingredients, blending well 8. Pour into well greased 11X15 pan 9. Bake 20-25 min, cool 10. FROSTING 11. Mix all ingredients well 12. Frost cooled brownies 13. Chill 1 hour 14. GLAZE 15. Melt together shortening and chocolate chips 16. Blend well 17. Drizzle over frosted brownies |
