A brownie that will disappear before your eyes. Great mixture taste of brownie & mint Ingredients:
brownies |
1 box of fudge brownie mix (or use your own favorite brownie recipe) |
plus ingredients listed on box |
filling |
4 cups powdered sugar |
1 pkg (3 oz) cream cheese, softened |
1/4 cup milk |
1 tsp vanilla |
1/4 tsp peppermint extract |
8-10 drops green food color |
frosting |
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (6 oz) |
1/4 cup softened butter |
1/4 cup whipping cream |
Directions:
1. BROWNIE: 2. Heat oven to 350 3. Grease bottom only of 13 x 9 pan with shortening or cooking spray 4. Make brownie mix as directed on box, (or your recipe) 5. BE SURE TO MAKE RECIPE THAT WILL ACCOMODATE A 13 X 9 PAN NOT 8 SQUARE 6. Bake as directed 7. Cool completely (at least 1 hour) 8. FILLING: 9. In large bowl; beat all filling ingredients on medium speed until smooth 10. Spread over COOLED brownies. 11. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before frosting 12. FROSTING: 13. In small saucepan; melt chips, 1/4 cup butter and cream over low heat, stirring constantly 14. Remove from heat; cool 10 minutes 15. Pour over filling 16. Refrigerate about 1 hour or until chocolate is set 17. Cut into bars 18. Store in refrigerator |
