Chocolate Malted Cookies Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoons baking soda |
1/2 teaspoons salt |
1 cup shortening, butter-flavored |
1 1/4 cups (packed) brown sugar |
1/2 cups milk powder, malted |
2 tablespoons chocolate syrup |
1 tablespoon vanilla extract |
1 large egg |
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips , semisweet chunks |
1 cups chocolate chips, milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. 2. Line two baking sheets with aluminum foil or parchment. 3. In small bowl, whisk together first three ingredients; set aside. 4. In large bowl with electric mixer, beat next five ingredients for 2 minutes until smooth; beat in egg. Add flour mixture, beating until thoroughly combined. Stir in chocolate chunks and chips. 5. Scoop batter by heaping tablespoons; roll into 2-inch balls. Place 3 inches apart on prepared baking sheets. 6. Bake 12 to 14 minutes, until golden brown, reversing baking sheets halfway through. Cool 2 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool. |
