I like my pumpkin pie to be a little something other than the usual and I like it year round! This is more of an idea than a recipe because I don't have the time to type up something as basic as a pumpkin pie recipe for y'all right now. Ingredients:
your favorite pumpkin pie crust |
your favorite pumpkin pie filling |
chocolate hazelnut spread (nutella is the most popular, but i like rapunzel's the best.) |
also, black raspberry or apricot fruit preserves or orange marmelade or even just sliced bananas if you like |
Directions:
1. So,, in your prepared pie crust, before you add the pumpkin pie filling 2. ... spread on a thick layer of chocolate hazelnut spread 3. top that with a thin layer of fruit preserved or sliced bananas. 4. Now you do your pumpkin pie filling on top and bake it all as you usually do. 5. I like to spread more Chocolate Hazelnut on top and use a slightly sweetened topping made of sour cream and cream cheese beat together instead of usual whipping cream. 6. This way, I can relax and enjoy my mother's good old plain pumpkin pie too :) |
