Chocolate gravy served over biscuits or home made bread was a super treat when I was growning up and made it for my girls on special occasions,, they still love it. hope you do too Ingredients:
1 c. sugar |
3 tbsp cocoa |
3 tbsp cornstarch |
2 cups milk |
1 tsp vanilla |
1 tbsp butter |
Directions:
1. Mix sugar , cocoa, cornstarch in a bowl and set aside. 2. Heat milk in saucepan until hot but not boiling 3. add sugar mixture and stir over med heat until thickened stirring constantly. 4. Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter 5. Serve over biscuits or bread 6. cover with plastic wrap or wax paper if it is going to sit before you serve it as it will form a skin on top ... best when served immediately |
