This one has the best flavor of all. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened |
1 (16 ounce) package brown sugar |
3 eggs |
3 ounces unsweetened chocolate squares, melted and cooled (i do this in the microwave) |
2 1/4 cups sifted cake flour |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream |
1 cup hot water |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
Directions:
1. Cream butter,; gradually add brown sugar, beating well. 2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. 3. Add chocolate, mix well. 4. Combine flour, soda, and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream. 5. Beat well. 6. Add water and vanilla; stir well. 7. Pour batter into 3 greased and floured 9in cake pans. 8. Bake at 350* for 25 minutes or until cake tests done. 9. Cool in pans 10 minutes. 10. Remove and cool completely on wire racks. |
