This recipe goes with Kossuth Cakes Ingredients:
2 (1-ounce) squares unsweetened chocolate |
1/4 cup butter or margarine |
2 cups sifted powdered sugar |
2 tablespoons hot water |
2 egg yolks |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
pinch of salt |
Directions:
1. Place chocolate and butter in top of a double boiler; place over boiling water and cook, stirring constantly, until chocolate and butter melt. 2. Remove from heat; add sugar and hot water, beating until smooth. Add egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and salt; beat until frosting reaches spreading consistency. |
