I have not tried this recipe. I got this recipe from Holidays Of The World Cookbook For Students. This recipe is from Italy. I plan to use sugar free chocolate chips and decaff coffee. Ingredients:
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips |
1 teaspoon instant coffee granules |
3/4 cup strong coffee |
1 teaspoon almond extract |
1 cup cold butter or 1 cup margarine, cut into small pieces |
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan, melt chocolate over low heat, stirring frequently. Add coffee granules, strong coffee, and almond extract, and stir well. 2. Remove from heat, and, using wooden mixing spoon, beat in butter or margarine, a few pieces at a time until smooth. 3. Transfer to medium mixing bowl, cover, and refrigerate until thickened to spreading consistency, about 30 minutes. |
