Serves 4 hungry ppl . I used all types of chocolates to make this cake . The result is just extraordinary . So DARK in the inside and pleasant nutty colour on the outside . Its just full of surprises , both for the eyes and the taste bud . Read more ..... Ingredients:
100 g butter |
6 oz semi sweet baking chocolate |
3 oz unsweetened chocolate |
1 1/2 c cake flour , 2 tsp baking pwd , 1 tsp salt - sifted |
7 l eggs |
1 1/2 c sugar |
1/2 c yogurt |
1 tbsp vanila |
ganache |
12 oz semi sweet chocolate |
4 oz unsweetened chocolate |
2 c heavy cream |
2 tbsp sugar |
mousse |
2 c cream |
3/4 c sugar |
4 oz baking chocolate |
1 c unsalted cashew nuts chopped ( optional ) |
semi sweet chocolate mini- morsels |
strawberries , halved and dipped in chocolate |
Directions:
1. Pre heat oven at 180 deg C . 2. Grease 2 9 inch pans . 3. Melt the chocolate and the butter . 4. Beat the eggs and the sugar until thickened . 5. Add the melted chocolate and beat until just mixed . 6. Fold in the dry ing with yogurt and essence 7. Pour in the pan and bake for 20 mins 8. Chill for 30 mins . 9. ............................ 10. Ganache : 11. Heat the cream and sugar together . 12. Pour on the chocolate . 13. Leave it for 5 mins . 14. Now whisk until smooth . 15. Use it as filling and top and sides . 16. Chill for 1 hr . 17. ........................ 18. Mousse : 19. Whisk the cream and sugar until firm but not stiff . 20. Fold in the melted chocolate . 21. Fold the nuts ( optional ) and chill until needed 22. ........................... 23. Spread the mousse on top and sides . 24. Coat semi sweet choc mini- morsels on sides and arrange strawberries on top . 25. Chill 2 hrs or until set . 26. ........................... |
