The flavors of sweet canolli filling, hot jalapenos and then the rich dark chocolate flavor of the dip make this a taste sensation. Ingredients:
filling for chilis |
2 c. or 1 lb. ricotta cheese |
1 c. sugar |
1/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits |
1 tsp. vanilla |
1/2 c. candied cherries(optional) |
12-20 long chilis of your choice |
bottle of thick dark chocolate fudge syrup |
Directions:
1. Directions for making filling: 2. - 3. Blend cheese and sugar until smooth. Add remaining ingredients. 4. - 5. wash chilis 6. cut off the tops: about half an inch 7. clean out seeds and ribs if there are any 8. put ricotta filling in pastry bag 9. pipe into chilis 10. with a little puff on top 11. - 12. Plate in a circle with thick ends pointing out 13. - 14. In center of plate put a deep bowl with the chocolate fudge(hot or cold) 15. Dip each chile in fudge return to plate and serve. OR let each person dip their own. |
