My family always had this at summer picnics. It's a light and easy dish and complements any summer meal. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter (one stick) |
1 cup flour |
1/2 cup walnuts, finely chopped |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese |
1 cup powdered sugar |
1 (8 ounce) container cool whip, divided |
2 (25 g) boxes instant chocolate pudding mix |
3 cups skim milk |
Directions:
1. Mix together butter, flour and nuts. Press in the bottom of 9x13 pan and bake for 15 minutes at 300 degrees; cool. 2. Mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar and about 3 ounces of cool whip; spread on crust. 3. Mix together pudding mix and milk and spread on cream cheese. 4. Top with remaining cool whip. 5. Sprinkle additional chopped nuts on top if desired. |
