This layered desert is rich and delicious. It is a crowd pleaser. I like to use light cream cheese and whipped topping to cut down on calories slightly Ingredients:
3/4 c. margerine or butter, melted |
1 1/2 c. flour |
3/4 c. chopped pecans |
1 8oz. package cream cheese |
1 c. powdered sugar |
1 carton cool whip |
2 3 1/2 oz. boxes instant chocolate pudding mix |
3 c. milk |
chopped pecans, grated chocolate, or chocolate chips, for garnish (optional) |
Directions:
1. Combine margerine, flour, and pecans. 2. press into 13x9 in. pan 3. Bake 375 for 15 min. 4. Remove and cool 5. Combine cheese, sugar, and 1 1/2 c. whipped topping 6. blend and spread over crust 7. chill 8. combine pudding mixes and milk 9. beat 2 min. at medium speed 10. spread over cream cheese layer 11. spread remaining whipped topping over pudding layer 12. garninsh with pecans and chocolate 13. Refrigerate. 14. Note: When making for a gathering I always include pecans in the garnish so anyone with a nut allergy will know to avoid it!! |
