Yummy, easy cake baked in the crockpot with minimal ingredients. My 2yr old son wanted to bake a cake in July, sooo, not wanting to use the oven (heating up the house) I put this in the crockpot. Please note I have a 6qt crockpot. I think if I had cooked it for a shorter time it would have been a bit more like pudding cake but it was delicious & super moist!! Ingredients:
1 (18 1/4 ounce) box chocolate cake mix (i used bc butter recipe chocolate) |
1/2 cup butter, softened |
1 cup mayonnaise (i used smart balance spinblend) |
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips |
1 1/2 cups water |
Directions:
1. Beat cake mix, butter, mayo in medium bowl until well combined.
2. Spray crockpot with non-stick spray.
3. Pour batter into crockpot, smoothing out to an even thickness.
4. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
5. Pour water over top.
6. Cover & turn crockpot onto low.
7. Cook 1 1/2-2 hours.
8. Great served with ice cream/whipped cream.
