Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup cocoa |
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
3 eggs, beaten |
1 1/2 cups evaporated milk |
1 1/2 cups water |
3 tablespoons butter or margarine |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
1 baked (9-inch) pastry shell |
1 cup whipping cream, whipped |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar, cocoa, and flour in a heavy saucepan; stir to remove lumps. Combine eggs, milk, and water in a mixing bowl. Gradually add milk mixture to cocoa mixture, stirring until well blended. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla, stirring until butter melts. Pour into pastry shell. Chill. Garnish with whipped cream. |
