Chocolate Covered Cherry Cake |

This is such a lovely cake. WONDERFUL to eat! Ingredients:
1 pkg. devil's food cake mix with pudding |
1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling |
2 large eggs |
1 tsp. almond extract |
***chocolate glaze |
1 cup sugar |
1/3 cup butter |
1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips |
1/3 cup whole milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Spray 13 x 9-inch pan. 3. Put cake mix, pie filling, eggs, and extract in mixer 4. Mix on low for 1 minute. 5. Beat an additional 2 minutes on medium speed. 6. Put in pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. 7. **Glaze*** 8. Put sugar, butter and milk in saucepan over medium/low heat. 9. Stir until it is boiling. 10. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips. 11. Stir until smooth and pour over warm cake. |
