This is made with Chocolate Cool Whip (available in your freezer section) and is layered with berries and pound cake or angel food cake and tastes so good you won't stop at one piece....The chocolate cool whip is rich and sumptuous. Ingredients:
2 boxes vanilla instant pudding mix |
4 cups milk |
1/2 cup orange juice |
2 teaspoons lemon juice |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 16 ounce pound cake or angel food cake |
18 ounces blackberries |
24 ounces blueberries |
chocolate cool whip |
fresh mint for garnish |
Directions:
1. Prepare pudding using milk 2. Mix orange and lemon juices with vanilla 3. Cut cake into 1/2 inch cubes which makes about 120 pieces 4. layer a third of the cake pieces in the bottom of a four quart glass bowl. 5. Spoon a third of the juice mix over cake 6. Scatter a third of berries over the moistened cake 7. placing berries around outer edge of bowl to highlight berries 8. Spread a third of pudding over berries 9. Then put a one inch layer of chocoate cool whip over berries 10. Repeat with two more layers 11. Decorate the final chocolate cool whip layer with fresh berrries and mint sprigs 12. You can spoon this into stemmed glasses for an elegant presentation...Your guests will love this. 13. Who says Chocolate Cool Whip isn't gourmet? 14. Taste it and see.... 15. Sumptuous. 16.
