Ingredients:
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour |
1/4 cup sugar |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
1/3 cup cold butter |
1 egg |
1 cup milk |
16 cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies, coarsely chopped |

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
3 tablespoons sugar |
5 cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies, finely crushed |
2 tablespoons cold butter |
1 cup vanilla or white chips |
1 tablespoon shortening |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Combine the flour, sugar and baking powder. 3. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. 4. Beat egg and milk; stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. 5. Fold in chopped cookies. 6. Fill greased muffin cups two-thirds full. 7. TOPPING 8. Combine the flour, sugar and crushed cookies. 9. Cut in the butter until crumbly; sprinkle about 1 tablespoon over each muffin. 10. Bake for 16-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. 11. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack. 12. In a heavy saucepan over low heat, melt vanilla chips and shortening until smooth. 13. Drizzle over cooled muffins. |
