Chocolate Chip & Walnut Cookies (Splenda) |

From a Splenda cookbooklet. Ingredients:
1/2 cup reduced-calorie margarine |
3/4 cup splenda granular, sugar substitute |
1 egg |
1 tablespoon vanilla extract |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup mini chocolate chip |
1/4 cup walnuts, chopped |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees and spray 2 cookie sheets with butter-flavored cooking spray. 2. Cream margarine and Splenda together in a bowl using a sturdy spoon. 3. Stir in egg and vanilla. 4. Add flour, baking soda and salt. 5. Mix gently to combine (dough will be stiff). 6. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts. 7. Drop by tablespoonful to form 24 cookies. 8. Lightly flatten cookies with bottom of a glass sprayed with cooking spray. 9. Bake for 8-10 minutes. 10. Place cookie sheets on wire racks and cool. |
