Chocolate Chip Walnut Bars |

A decadent bar for the holiday season or any time! Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/3 cup butter or 1/3 cup margarine |
2 eggs |
1/2 sugar |
1/2 corn syrup |
2 tablespoons melted butter or 2 tablespoons margarine |
1 cup semisweet chocolate or 1 cup white chocolate chips |
3/4 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F and grease a 9-inch cake pan. 2. Crust: Combine all ingredients, mixing until crumbly. 3. Press firmly into prepared cake pan. 4. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until light golden. 5. Topping: Beat together eggs, sugar, corn syrup and melted butter until blended. 6. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. 7. Pour evenly over crust. 8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes longer or until set and golden. 9. Cool completely, then cut into bars. |
