Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened |
2/3 cup sugar |
3 eggs, well beaten |
3/4 cup light corn syrup |
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 unbaked (9-inch) pastry shell |
1 (6-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate morsels |
1 cup sliced almonds, toasted |
1 cup whipping cream, whipped |
Directions:
1. Cream butter in a medium mixing bowl; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, syrup, flour, vanilla, and salt; beat well. 2. Line the bottom of pastry shell with chocolate morsels; pour syrup mixture over chocolate morsels. Bake at 375° for 40 minutes. Sprinkle toasted almonds over top of pie, and bake an additional 15 minutes. Cool completely. 3. Pipe whipped cream around edge of pie, using a pastry bag. |
