Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bars |

It's pretty rich so you will probably want to cut it into smaller pieces. It was really easy to put together. I think the crust is a little dry but that makes it perfect to go with a glass of milk or a cup of coffee. Ingredients:
1 (18 1/4 ounce) package german chocolate cake mix |
1/3 cup canola oil |
1 egg |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened |
1/3 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1 cup semisweet mini chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Spray 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray(or just butter it if you don't have the spray). 2. Combine cake mix, oil and 1 egg in a large bowl. 3. Measure out 1 cup of mix and set aside for topping. 4. Press remaining mix into prepared 9x13 baking dish. 5. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350 or until set. 6. For filling:. 7. Beat cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl until smooth. 8. Add 1 egg and beat well. 9. Spread over crust. 10. Sprinkle the top with reserved 1 cup of crust mix and mini chocolate chips. 11. Bake for 18-20 at 350 minutes or until set. 12. Cool on wire rack and cut into bars. 13. Store in the refrigerator. |
