Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix In A Jar |

I have made these several times over the year. My kids do most of the work and they like to give them to their teachers as Christmas gifts. You can get real creative on the jars decorations. WE like to cut out fabric for the lid and add some kind of ribbon. Read more ..have fun with it! It's not to early to start thinking about Christmas! Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1 cup chocolate chips |
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar |
2 1/2 cups flour mixed with 1 tsp. baking soda and 1/4 tsp salt |
Directions:
1. Layer ingredients in order in a 1 quart wide mouth canning jar.
2. Press each layer in place before adding next ingredient.
3. For the tag that you will tie on to the jar : (This is for the person receiving this gift) PRINT the following....
4. Empty jar of cookie mix into large bowl
5. Mix well
6. Add 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine, softened
7. 1 egg, slightly beaten
8. 1 tsp vanilla
9. Mix until completely blended.
10. Shape into balls and place on cookie sheet
11. Bake at 350* for 13- 15 minutes.
12. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
