Chocolate Chip Cheesecake |

This tastes like chocolate chip cookies and is delicious. I haven't made it for quite some time. I got the recipe from Keebler pie shell package. I have never used low fat cream cheese, but I assume you can. Ingredients:
8 ounces cream cheese, softened |
14 ounces sweetened condensed milk |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips, divided |
1 teaspoon flour |
16 ounces chocolate wafer pie crust |
1/4 cup whipping cream |
Directions:
1. Beat cheese until fluffy. 2. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk. 3. Add egg and vanilla extract. 4. In separate bowl, toss 1 cup mini chocolate chips in flour, and stir into cheese mixture. 5. Pour mixture into pie crust. 6. Bake 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until center springs back when touched. 7. Remove from oven and let cool. 8. For chocolate glaze, melt over low - medium heat, 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips and 1/4 cup whipping cream, stirring constantly until thickened. 9. Immediately spread over cooled cheesecake. 10. Cover and chill - keep refrigerated. |
