Chocolate Cheesecake Squares |

Now you can have your chocolate and cheesecake also. Your going to love these squares. They are filling so small sizes are a good idea. Cook time does not include overnight chill time. Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
1/2 cup sugar |
3 tablespoons baking cocoa |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup cold butter |
1 egg yolk |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened |
1/3 cup sugar |
1/2 cup sour cream |
1 tablespoon flour |
2 teaspoons grated orange rind |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 egg |
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract |
chocolate shavings (optional) |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325*. 2. Line a 9 inch caking pan with tin foil; grease the foil and set aside. 3. For the crust:. 4. In a bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Cut in butter until fine crumbs form. Stir in egg yolk, vanilla and walnuts; mix well. Press onto bottom of the prepared foil lined pan. Bake for 15 minutes. 5. For the filling:. 6. In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add the sour cream, flour, orange peel and salt; mix well. Add egg and vanilla; beat on low speed just until combined. Pour over warm crust. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until center is almost set. Cool on wire rack for 1 hour. 7. Garnish top with chocolate shavings. Refrigertae overnight. |
