I adopted this recipe from the Recipezaar account. I tried it as one of several desserts with Christmas Dinner, and found it to be very rich. My hubby loved it, minus the cherries (not a fan). LOL Ingredients:
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened |
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened |
3/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup cocoa |
2 eggs |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1/2 cup whipping cream, chilled |
1 (8 inch) chocolate crumb crusts |
1 cup cherry pie filling |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. 2. In large mixer bowl,combine cream cheese and sugar;beat well. 3. Blend in cocoa,scraping sides of bowl and beaters frequently. 4. Add eggs and vanilla;blend well. 5. Blend in whipping cream. 6. Pour into crust. 7. Bake 35 to 40 minutes. (Center will be soft but will set upon cooling.). 8. Cool to room temperature. 9. Cover and chill several hours or overnight. 10. Garnish with cherry pie filling. |
