This is a different type of cheese ball..It's sweet and chocolaty..you can serve this with graham crackers, cookies, or fruit.. this another recipe from the Gifts from the Kitchen cookbook.. the prep time doesn't include the overnight time. Ingredients:
1 package ( 8 oz. ) cream cheese, softened |
1/4 cup butter, softened |
3/4 cup confectioners sugar |
2 tbsp. light brown sugar |
3 tbsp. cocoa |
1 tbsp. kahlua or amaretto |
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips -- i used the mini chips |
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl: combine cream cheese and butter 2. beat until well blended 3. stir in the sugars, cocoa, and the liquer. mix well 4. stir in the chocolate chips 5. cover and refrigerate overnight 6. next day shape mixture into a ball and roll into the pecans 7. serve with: 8. graham crackers, cookies, or fruit |
