I'm not sure where I got this recipe but it sure is a chocolaty winner! Ingredients:
1 keebler® ready crust® shortbread pie crust |
1 egg yolk, slightly beaten |
3 eggs |
1/8 tsp. salt |
1/2 c. sugar |
1 tsp. vanilla |
4 oz. bittersweet chocolate, melted |
1/4 c. ap flour |
1/3 c. caramel ice cream topping |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F 2. Brush bottom and sides of crust with egg yolk. 3. Place on baking sheet. 4. Bake for 5 minutes. 5. In small mixing bowl beat eggs and salt on high speed of electric mixer about 5 minutes or until thick and lemon colored. 6. Add sugar and vanilla, mixing until combined. 7. Add chocolate and flour; mix well. 8. Spread chocolate mixture in crust. 9. Bake on baking sheet at 350°F about 32 minutes. 10. Center will be soft. 11. Cool on wire rack for 1 hour. 12. Spoon caramel topping over pie. 13. Store in refrigerator. |
