I have been making these for years and they disappear in record time. Really delicious! Ingredients:
1 cup butter |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 cups flour |
1 cup butter |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/4 cup golden syrup or 1/4 cup corn syrup |
1 can eagle brand condensed milk |
1 cup chocolate chips |
2 -3 tablespoons butter |
Directions:
1. Prepare first 3 ingredients like pastry. 2. Press into 9x13 pan. 3. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 until golden brown. 4. Melt butter in a saucepan and add other ingredients. 5. Stir vigorously on med-high heat. 6. Bring to a boil. 7. Stir for 3-5 minutes. 8. It will thicken and turn colour. 9. Cool slightly in pot. 10. Pour over pastry and cool til firm. 11. Topping: Melt choc chips and butter and spread over filling. 12. Cut into squares or long fingers. |
