Chocolate cake with a creamy caramel frosting. Using cake mix saves a lot of time.
Ingredients:
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 tablespoon instant coffee
3 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cup buttermilk

2 cups brown sugar
2/3 cup milk
1/4 butter-cubed
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions:
1. Sift cake mix into a large mixing bowl.
2. Add coffee,eggs,oil,and buttermilk.
3. Beat on medium speed for 4 minutes.
4. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2 baking pan.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
6. Cool on wire rack.

8. In a medium saucepan,combine brown sugar,milk,butter and salt.
9. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook until mixture reaches 235 degrees(soft ball stage).
10. Cool completely.
11. Transfer to mixing bowl and beat in sugar,cream,and vanilla.
12. Continue beating until mixture becomes spreadable.
13. Spread frosting over cooled cake.
