I was surprised not to find a whole bunch of these recipes, especially after the winter the country has had! So now, I am going to post one of my favorites! :) Cooking Light Magazine, January/February 2010 edition. Ingredients:
1 cup chocolate liqueur (i used godiva, had it on hand) |
2 tablespoons maple sugar |
2 cups hot brewed cuban coffee or 2 cups espresso |
1 1/2 cups scalded whole milk (2% milk is what i used & it was fine) |
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
chocolate shavings (optional) |
Directions:
1. Combine liqueur and syrup in microwave-safe dish; heat on HIGH for 30 seconds. 2. Divide liqueur mixture among 8 mugs;add 1/4 cup espresso to each. 3. Froth milk; pour 1/4 cup milk into each mug. 4. Top with ground cinnamon; garnsh with chocolate shavings, if desired. |
