Chocolate Candy Bar Dessert |

Rich pie-like chocolate pudding and cheesecake dessert. Family favorite. Ingredients:
2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs |
1/2 cup sugar, divided |
1/2 cup margarine, melted |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese |
1 (12 ounce) package whipped topping |
8 heath candy bars or 8 skor candy bars |
3 cups milk, cold |
2 (4 ounce) packages instant chocolate pudding mix |
Directions:
1. In 9x13 inch pan, mix crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar and butter. 2. Press firmly into bottom of pan. 3. Refrigerate 10 minutes. 4. In medium bowl, beat cream cheese and remaining 1/4 cup sugar with wire whisk until smooth. 5. Gently stir in half of whipped topping. 6. Spread mixture evenly over crust. 7. Sprinkle 1/2 of chopped candy bars over cream cheese layer. 8. Pour milk into large bowl. 9. Add pudding mixes. 10. Beat with wire whisk 1 minute. 11. Pour over chopped candy bar layer. 12. Let stand 5 minutes. 13. Spread remaining whipped topping over pudding layer. 14. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 of chopped candy bars. 15. Refrigerate 2 hours or until set. |
