This is the famous chocolate cake as served in GROSSFELD in the star-graced restaurant close to my home town. people go crazy over it. i tasted it,although normally do not eat cakes or sweets. could barely put my spoon down :-). Read more . servings depend on your size of soufflé dishes. Ingredients:
170 gr of a very good bitter chocolate (at least 56% chocolate butter content) |
170 gr butter |
6 eggs |
275 gr sugar |
90 gr flour |
Directions:
1. If you have one of these famous Thermo-mixers, 2. use the setting of 37° to melt chocolate, 3. if not, use a double boiler and carefully melt chocolate. 4. whisk in butter, sugar, eggs, 5. flour ,make a smooth dough. 6. Take soufflé forms 7. brush with butter, 8. coat with sugar. 9. Bake for 6 (six) minutes in a 230 °CENTIGRADE oven. 10. Now, if you have these steel rings, you can place them on a cookie sheet covered with baking paper. Then you can remove the ring, place the little cake on the serving plate – it is more impressive because, when you stick in the spoon or fork, the melted chocolate will run out. Serve it with a good vanilla ice-cream or some fruit – hmmmmm. Little work and ever so good! |
