This is our family's favorite chocolate cake. The addition of coffee makes a rich tasting cake. Also the oil instead of butter is healthier. I sometimes add grated orange peel. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1 3/4 cups sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup cocoa |
1 cup sour cream |
1 cup cold brewed coffee |
1 large egg |
2/3 cup canola oil |
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients. 2. Add wet ingredients and beat well. 3. Pour into greased 9 x 13 pan. 4. Bake 350° for 30-35 minutes. |
