This recipe goes with Checkerboard Cake Ingredients:
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons butter or margarine |
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons milk |
3 (1-ounce) squares semisweet chocolate |
2 teaspoons almond extract |
4 cups sifted powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Combine butter, milk, and chocolate in top of a double boiler; place over boiling water, stirring constantly, until all ingredients are melted. Remove from heat, and stir in flavoring. Add sugar; beat until smooth and creamy. |
