This is easiest chocolate brownie/slice you'll ever do - and absolutely delicious! I use walnuts instead of pecans because I like their stronger flavour. My mum has been making this recipe for years - a real family favorite! Ingredients:
150 g butter |
220 g dark chocolate melts |
250 g sugar |
2 teaspoons sugar |
3 eggs |
150 g plain flour |
90 g pecan nuts |
Directions:
1. Line a 25cm square slice tin with baking paper. 2. Pre-heat oven to 180 C. 3. Place chocolate and butter in a double boiler until just melted. 4. Take saucepan off the stove and stir in vanilla, sugar, beaten eggs, flour & nuts. Stir until mixture just comes together. Pour into tin and level off. 5. Bake 25-30 minutes until mixture is set but not dry. 6. DON'T OVERCOOK! The top should be soft to touch - it will crisp up as it cools. 7. Cut when cool. |
