This chocolate bread pudding has many variations available. Experiment, you can't mess it up. I use soy milk but feel free to change it up. Experiment with the cook time. Ingredients:
7 buttered bread slices (keep the crusts on) |
4 eggs |
8 oz. chocolate soy milk or vanilla (your choice) |
4 oz. chocolate chips |
3 tsp. sugar |
Directions:
1. Grease a 1 1/2qt. baking dish wtih margarine (you can use individual ramekin dishes and change the baking time) 2. Cut each bread slice into 4 strips. 3. Line the dish with the bread, reserving a few strips for the top. 4. Sprinkle half the chocolate over the bread. 5. Wisk egg, milk and sugar in a separate bowl. 6. Pour most of the mixture into the middle of the lined dish. 7. Put the remaining strips of bread on top then pour the rest of the milk mixture over the top. 8. Sprinkle with the remaining chocolate and bake at 350 degrees until cooked. |
