Another yummy one whats better than a chocolate one nice and gooey lol............. courtesy of pillsbury.............. Ingredients:
6 -bread slices, crumbled |
4 -cup-. scalded milk |
1/4- c.up- butter, melted |
1- c.up- sugar |
4 -slightly beaten eggs |
3/4 -tsp. vanilla |
chocolate sauce: ................... |
1/4 cup-. karo syrup (light or dark) |
1/4 cup-. canned milk |
1 cup-. chocolate chips |
meringue topping: ........................ |
4 egg whites |
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar |
8 tbsp. sugar |
1 tsp. vanilla |
Directions:
1. Pudding: 2. Put bread into buttered 6 x 12 inch baking dish; blend milk, butter, sugar, eggs, salt, and vanilla; pour over bread. 3. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes until pudding is done (solid). 4. ********************************************************************* 5. Chocolate Sauce: 6. Melt chocolate chips with Karo syrup and canned milk. Pour over cooled pudding. .................... 7. ****************************************************** 8. Meringue Topping: 9. Beat egg whites, cream of tartar, sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. 10. Pour over warm chocolate, making peaks. 11. Brown at 350 degrees. 12. Watch carefully! 13. Take out of oven when peaks are golden brown 14. 4-6 servings |
