Chocolate Bananut Butter Pie A La Dave |

Since my sons birthday is the day before my own birthday, instead of a birthday cake, my husband makes this BIRTHDAY PIE for me. I have never made this myself, but it is the most delicious pie EVER. I don't know where the recipe origniated from, and I don't wanna know, All I know is I had to give my hubby DAVE, top billing for this one! Read more ! Ingredients:
35 nilla vanilla wafers; crushed finely |
1/4 cup butter melted |
2 medium bananas |
2 squares baker's semi sweet chocolate, divided |
1/2 cup peanut butter pie |
2 cups milk |
2 pkg vanilla instant pudding |
2 cups thawed cool whip; divided |
2 tbsp salted peanuts, coarsely chopped |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F. 2. Mix crumbs and butter until well blended, press firmly onto the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie plate. 3. Bake 5-8 minutes or until golden brown. 4. Cool completely. 5. Top with bananas 6. Make chocolate curls from 1/2 square of chocolate, reserve for garnish. 7. Microwave remaining chocolate and peanut butter, aprox 1 minute; stir until chocolate is completely melted. and drizzle over bananas, set aside. 8. Pour milk into a large bowl. 9. Add dry pudding mixes. 10. Beat with a wire wisk 2 minutes or until well blended. 11. Gently stir in 1 cup cool whip. 12. Spread over Bananas. 13. Top with remaining cool whip. 14. Refrigerate at least 3 hours or overnight. 15. Top with chocolate curls and peanuts just prior to serving. |
