Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat flour, plus |
3 tablespoons whole wheat flour |
10 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar |
1/4 cup margarine |
1 cup unsweetened applesauce |
1 small apple, peeled,cored finely chopped |
10 tablespoons raisins |
3 ounces oats |
1 ounce semi-sweet chocolate chips |
Directions:
1. Preheat 350 degrees. 2. Spray 11 x 7 pan. 3. Combine both flours, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. 4. Set aside. 5. Beat sugar& margarine till fluffy. 6. Gradually add flour, alternating with applesauce till blended. 7. Stir in rest of ingredients. 8. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes. 9. Cut into 8 bars. |
