Chocolate Angel Pie

Takes some time to make. This needs at least two hours to chill.
Ingredients:
2 egg whites
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. sifted sugar
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. or 1/4 lb. german sweet chocolates or nestles niblets
3 tbsps. water
1 c. cream, whipped
Directions:
1. Combine egg whites, salt and cream of tartar in mixing bowl, beat until foamy.
2. Then add sugar-2 Tablespoons at a time beating after each addition until sugar is blended.
3. Continue beating until mixture stands in stiff peaks.
4. Fold in nuts and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla and blend.
5. Spoon into lightly greased 8 inch pie pan and make a nestlike shell.
6. Bake at 300 degrees 50 to 55 minutes.
7. Cool.
8. Place chocolate and water and sauce pan over low heat.
9. Stir until chocolate is melted.
10. Cool until thickened.
11. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and fold in whipped cream and pile into meringue shell.
12. Chill at least two hours before serving.
