Chobani Bruléed Banana Waffles |

A Gold Medal Recipe supported by the United States Olympic Committee Registered Dietitians. Ingredients:
21/4 c chobani vanilla greek yogurt |
1/4 c instant oatmeal |
1 c buttermilk |
4 t canola oil |
1 large egg |
2/3 c all-purpose flour |
1/4 c cornstarch |
2 t baking powder |
1/2 t baking soda |
3/4 t kosher salt |
4 bananas halved and chopped |
3/4 c orange juice |
1/4 c toasted slivered almonds |
Directions:
1. Mix 1/4 c Chobani with oatmeal. Add buttermilk, oil and egg. 2. Mix flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Combine with Chobani mixture. Cook in a greased waffle iron. 3. Brown bananas in a greased nonstick pan over medium heat for 2 min. Flip, add orange juice, cook 30 seconds. 4. Serve over waffles with more Chobani and almonds. |
