Chive Dumplings

These are just the dumplings from a Betty Crocker recipe. They are very forgiving and my family really likes them.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons shortening
3/4 cup milk
3 tablespoons dried chives
Directions:
1. Measure flour, baking powder, chives and salt into a bowl. Cut in shortening thoroughly until mixture looks like meal. Stir in milk.
2. Drop by spoonfuls onto hot stew (or gravy). Cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Cover and cook 20 minutes longer.
