I had a craving for Chipotle Mayo and could not find anything in my local grocery store. After peeking at several different types of recipes, I came up with my own variation. Its pretty spicy but my DH and I love it. I thought I would share it and see if anyone else may enjoy it as well. This can be stored for up to a week. I have even used this as a dip! Enjoy! Ingredients:
1 cup mayonnaise (you can use light if you prefer) |
1/4 cup sour cream (you can use fat free or any fat content you prefer) |
2 chipotle peppers |
1 tablespoon lime juice |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
2 teaspoons brown sugar |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Add all ingredients into a food processer. 2. Blend until well mixed and peppers are pureed (you will be able to see specks of red and it will be a lovely coral color). 3. Pour into an air tight container and set in the fridge for at least 1 hour. 4. Add to your favorite sandwiches and enjoy! |
