Chinese Pork With Shallots |

Tender pieces of pork in a tasty sauce. Ingredients:
500 g pork fillets |
2 tablespoons oil |
4 shallots, thinly slices |
1 red chile, seeded and diced |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
1 teaspoon sherry wine |
1 tablespoon cornflour |
2 cloves garlic, crushed |
1 tablespoon soy sauce |
2 teaspoons sugar |
Directions:
1. Cut the pork across the grain into 5mm thick slices. 2. Place slices between greaseproof paper or plastic wrap and pound lightly to tenderise and flatten. 3. Prepare the marinade by combining the marinade ingredients. 4. Add the pork and marinate for 20 minutes. 5. Heat the oil in a wok over high heat. 6. Drain the pork and add to the pan. 7. Stirfry for 5 minutes. 8. Add the shallots, chilli, soy sauce and sherry. 9. Cook another 1-2 minutes. 10. Serve immediately with rice or noodles and steamed vegetables. |
