Very easy versitile sauce. We use on egg rolls. We like this better than the red sweet and sour sauce. Ingredients:
18 ounces plum jam |
2 tablespoons vinegar |
1 tablespoon brown sugar |
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes (i sometimes used dried) |
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or to taste) |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1/2-1 teaspoon fresh gingerroot |
soy sauce (a couple of splashed could be optional) |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine all the ingredients. 2. Bring to a boil, stirring. 3. Let simmer a couple minutes. then remove from heat. Great warm or at room temperature. |
