This was my mother's recipe; I don't know where she found it but it was a staple when I was a kid. I know there are other recipes for Chinese Hamburger Hash on the 'zaar, but not with these proportions. Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
2 onions |
5 stalks celery (about same amount as onions) |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup |
1 1/4 cups water |
1/2 cup uncooked rice |
1/4 cup soy sauce |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 (3 ounce) can chinese noodles |
Directions:
1. Brown meat, add onions & celery. 2. Add remaining ingredients (except noodles). 3. Place in greased casserole & cover. 4. Bake 30 minutes at 350. 5. Remove cover, bake 30 minutes more. 6. Cover with noodles - bake 15 minutes more. |
